How to Insert Lists into a Data Section Table

In this article, we will walk through the steps on how to insert a list and field to a table in the Narrative Template.

Before continuing, please make sure you have created a Section as outlined in the following article: Data Sections - How to Create Sections

Please also ensure that you have sources uploaded as outlined in the following article: How to Add Sources

To insert a list to the Data Section Table, follow these steps:

  1. Log into CoAuthor

  2. Open up a Project

  3. In the Documents Tab, click on the Narrative Document Name

  4. Once the Narrative Document opens in Word, click on the Add-in to open it

  5. Insert a table

  6. Add Column Headers

  7. Select the table, then click on the Data Sections tab

  8. Click the Create Section button

  9. In the Create Section modal, enter a name

  10. Select a table from the menu

  11. Select an option from the SUBJECT ID COLUMN menu

  12. Click Create

  13. Click on the row under the first column header

  14. Click on the Insert Field button

  15. In the Insert Field modal, click on the box next to the column

  16. Click Create

  17. Repeat steps 14 - 16 until all desired macros have been added to the table

  18. Save the Word document

How to Insert a List into a Table
