Creating data sections in CoAuthor is a highly beneficial feature for several reasons. It allows users to organize and structure their data logically and coherently, making it easier to navigate, analyze, and comprehend. This is particularly important when working with large datasets or complex projects, where clarity and organization are crucial.
This article assumes that you created a project and a narrative document as outlined here: "How to Create a Narrative Document"

Create Data Section
To create a Data Section, follow these steps:
Log into CoAuthor
Open a Project
In the Documents Tab, click on the Narrative Document Name
Once the Narrative Document opens in Word, click on the Add-in to open it
Click on the Data Sections tab
Click on the Create Section button
In the Create Section modal, enter a Name
Select an option from the Table menu
Select an option from the Subject Id Column menu
Click Create
How to Rename a Section
To rename a Data Section, follow these steps:
Log into CoAuthor
Open a Project
In the Documents Tab, click on the Narrative Document Name
Once the Narrative Document opens in Word, click on the Add-in to open it
Click on the Data Sections tab
Click on the ellipsis
Click on Settings
In the Settings tab, update the title
Click Update
The name of the section has been successfully updated!
