Data Sections - Fields

The Data Section Fields allow you to integrate information from different sources, ensuring that your criteria are accurately captured and presented throughout your narrative document. In this article, you will learn how to insert a list and field into your Data Section.

List Settings and Field Settings

List Settings and Field Settings are crucial features in data management, allowing users to tailor their data collection and analysis. How to Insert a List

To insert a list to the Data Section Field, follow these steps:

  1. Log into CoAuthor

  2. Open a Project

  3. In the Documents Tab, click on the Narrative Document Name

  4. Once the Narrative Document opens in Word, click on the Add-in to open it

  5. Click on the Data Sections tab

  6. Click on the Data Section you'd like to create a list for

  7. Click on the Fields tab

  8. Click on the Insert List button

  9. In the Insert List modal, click on the checkbox next to the column name to add the selections(s) to the document

  10. Click Create

The list will have the same name as the macro in the document.

How to Insert a Field

To insert a field to the Data Section Field, follow these steps:

  1. Log into CoAuthor

  2. Open a Project

  3. In the Documents Tab, click on the Narrative Document Name

  4. Once the Narrative Document opens in Word, click on the Add-in to open it

  5. Click on the Data Sections tab

  6. Click on the Data Section you'd like to create a list for

  7. Click on the Fields tab

  8. Click on the Insert Field button

  9. In the Insert Field modal, click on the checkbox next to the column name to add the selection(s) to the document

  10. Click Create

The list will have the same name as the macro in the document.
