How to Edit Member Rights

CoAuthor features the capability to assign team members the rights to edit members, sources, and documents within a project. This guarantees that team members possess the appropriate access level to documents, safeguarding sensitive information and preserving control over the project to facilitate collaboration and bolster security.

Edit Members

Grant a team member the ability to Edit members within a project with the following steps:

  1. Log into CoAuthor

  2. Open up a Project

  3. Click on the Members Tab

  4. Click in the box under the Edit Members column for each member you would like to be able to Edit Members

Members with a blue checkbox in the Edit Members column are authorized to add and remove members within the project.

Edit Sources

Grant a team member the ability to Edit Sources with the following steps:

  1. Open up a Project

  2. Click on the Members Tab

  3. Click in the box under the Edit Sources column for each member you would like to be able to Edit Sources

Members with a blue checkbox in the Edit Members column are authorized to edit add or delete sources within the project.

Edit Documents

Grant a team member the ability to Edit Documents with the following steps:

  1. Open up a Project

  2. Click on the Members Tab

  3. Click on Edit under the Edit Documents column

  4. In the Edit Documents Modal, click the checkbox next to each document you would like the user to be able to edit

  5. Click Save

    The Document(s) the user has Edit rights to will be listed under the Edit Documents Row.
