Understanding the Certara.AI Curate Layout

Navigating the Interface: A Guide to Application Menu, Document Sets, Batches, and Models

Written by Kay Chen

The Curate interface is designed for intuitive navigation and efficient document management. It consists of two main components:

  • Top Toolbar: Provides access to various applications and features, including the Data Access Selector for managing both personal and shared data fabrics.

  • Main View: Displays content based on the selected application or feature from the toolbar.

Application Menu

The Application Menu allows seamless navigation between different tools and modules within Curate.

Document Sets

The Document Sets section offers a centralized view of all available documents. You can:

  • View existing document sets and their availability.

  • Create new document sets or folders using the Actions button.

Create Document Set

Use Create Document Set to organize documents by keywords, dates, or other filters. This helps reduce the number of documents requiring review and enables faster retrieval of relevant groups.

Create Folder

Use Create Folder to further organize your document sets. Group them by relevant criteria such as keywords or creation dates to streamline access and improve document management efficiency.

Batches

The Batches section provides a comprehensive overview of all created batches, including:

  • Batch Key

  • Question Count

  • Progress

  • Type

  • Date Created

Use the Actions button to create custom QA or Ontology batches tailored to your needs.

Create QA Batch

Create a QA Batch to generate a set of questions. You can filter by:

  • Keywords

  • Page range

  • Document set

  • Document sections

  • Deep learning model

Create Ontology Batch

Create an Ontology Batch to review and validate content using a vector database populated with harmonized ontology terms.

My Assignments

The My Assignments section lists all items assigned to you for review. It serves as your personal dashboard for tracking and managing your tasks.

Models

The Models section includes:

  • Classification Models

  • QA Fine-Tuning Projects

You can also create new models or projects using the Actions button.

Create Classification Model

Build a ground truth training dataset for a classification model. Use filters similar to those in Document Sets to refine your dataset.

Create QA Fine-Tuning Project

Create a QA Fine-Tuning Project to manage models and iterations for a specific use case. Each project is housed in a dedicated folder for easy access and organization.

Data Access Selector

The Data Access Selector empowers users to control who can access their data with precision and ease. Designed to protect sensitive information, this feature ensures that access to the Data Fabric is restricted by default—only the individual user can view or interact with the data unless they explicitly grant permission.

With the Data Access Selector, users can:

  • Prevent unauthorized access to confidential or proprietary data.

  • Grant access selectively to trusted individuals or systems.

  • Maintain full visibility and control over who can view, edit, or analyze their data.

This feature strikes a balance between security and collaboration, giving users the flexibility to share data responsibly while maintaining strict safeguards.
