Document sets are a way of grouping documents into a common bucket, which can be attached to a prompt in Composer. When a Document Set is attached to a prompt, Composer will search all the documents in the document set for relevant chunks of information to pass to the prompt to answer the query.
The first step is to create a document set in Layar. In the Layar main interface, click the + icon next to the Sets heading on the left-hand sidebar to create a new document set.
Next, add documents to the set by performing a search in Layar for the documents you want to include. You can select individual documents or select all the search results. Then from the Selected button in the Layar view, choose "Add To Set"
To prepare the document set for a query in Composer, we next need to create embeddings. Click on the set you created in the left-hand side bar to bring up the set details page that shows all the documents in the set. From the three-dot menu at the top choose Create Embeddings. This will start a process that will enable Composer to search the content when it is attached to a prompt in Composer.
Once the embeddings are created, you can attach the document set to a prompt in Composer. In Composer, search for the set by name in the Sources right-hand sidebar. Choose the Document Sets tab to see the results and click the Plus icon to add it to your sources.
Then click the Attach to prompt option from the three-dot menu next to the Document Set name in Sources
This attaches the document set to the prompt and allows Composer to search across all the documents in that set to answer a prompt!
