GlobalSubmit v26.6.1 brings major changes to user management and security administration and opens up a wealth of informational resources across Certara's end-to-end data sciences platform by integrating with Certara Admin.

What is Certara Admin?

Certara Admin (CAD) is a central, cloud-based hub for the management and administration of all Certara applications.

Certara Admin consolidates user identities across all Certara software into a single "Certara ID" for product-to-product linkages, reducing the need for elaborate, brittle adaptors and daisy-chained API calls. It gives IT and administrative teams a single place for managing cross-product users, security settings, permissions, SSO integrations, and more.

Certara Admin includes a wealth of online educational resources, a product catalog, and system-wide monitoring, and an easy way for teams to access all the Certara applications with one login through your organization's Single Sign-on setup. Tracking and remembering multiple passwords across multiple applications becomes a thing of the past, and security settings are consistent across both teams and applications.

GlobalSubmit and CAD

GlobalSubmit is migrating from its existing login system (Okta) to integrate with Certara Admin (CAD) - Certara’s unified, cloud-based identity platform. CAD centralizes user authentication, license management, and product access across Certara products, giving your organization better control over user identities and access.

  • All users will now have a Certara Admin account created within their own Organization.

  • Any User's Certara Admin Profile contains fields for Title, Department, and Country, plus the option for the new Global Admin Role to administer multiple Certara products.

  • New Users added in Certara Admin must be given Product access before they can be assigned user roles within GlobalSubmit.

  • User roles and permissions will still be controlled by Administrators from the GlobalSubmit’s Security platform.

Changes in User Management:

GlobalSubmit URL is not changing and will be accessed through the same links you have been using currently.

Restoring access:

Users will not receive an automatic password reset email from CAD. They’ll need to follow these steps to regain access:

  1. Login to GlobalSubmit

    • Use the same GlobalSubmit url you have been using currently.

    • Enter your email address used for GlobalSubmit access in the newly seen login interface and click Continue.

  2. Redirected to CAD

    • Using the email address entered, CAD will recognize your organization and redirect you to your secure login page.

  3. Reset your password

    • Click on “Forgot password?” in the resulting page.

    • Enter your email address in the Email field and Click “Reset”.

    • Follow the instructions sent to your inbox to create a unique password.

    • Upon resetting your password, you are all set to login and access your account.

  4. Login with newly reset password

    • Again, use the same GlobalSubmit url you have been using and the newly reset password, to login and regain access.

What’s Not Changing

  • GlobalSubmit URL

  • Data, submissions, and workflows

  • User roles and permissions

  • SSO authentication via existing identity provider

Note:

If your organization already has a Certara account, you'll be routed automatically to your organization’s login portal. Further, if your organization uses our Certara SSO, you may be able to log in via SSO to finish account creation.
