How to Import Sources from Veeva

When enabled by your administrator, CoAuthor can pull approved or in-review content directly from Veeva Vault, giving you authoritative source material for AI-assisted drafting, structured content reuse, and traceable generation.

Note: Selecting a Veeva document as a source does not open or edit it in Vault. CoAuthor retrieves the text and structure from the document, tags it as a source, and uses it to ground drafting — the original Vault document is never modified through this flow.

Importing as a New Source

  1. Log in to CoAuthor.

  2. In the Project workspace, select the project you are working on.

  3. Navigate to the Sources tab.

  4. Click the Import from Veeva button.

  5. Use the Import from Veeva (Documents) module to search for the desired document.

  6. Check the boxes for the documents you want to import.

  7. Select the type of document type you want to import the document as.

  8. Select the version of the document you want to import.

  9. Click the Import button.
