A glance‑able overview that highlights any field whose configuration deviates from the defaults—complete with a dot marker on the gear icon and an editable summary panel, so users can review, edit, or revert settings without digging through each option individually.

  1. Open your narrative in Word and launch the Co‑author add‑in (the pane on the right).

  2. Select a Prompt and go to the Data Section tab in the document toolbar

  3. Enter the Field subtab

    • No custom settings: No badge → clicking opens the regular edit form directly.

    • Custom settings exist: A small dot appears on the gear → clicking opens the Field Settings Summary overlay instead of the full form.

  4. In the Field Settings Summary overlay you’ll see:

    • A concise list of every setting that differs from its default (Insert Text, Date format, Conditional Text, Lookup values, etc.).

    • Clear labels and formatting for quick scanning.
