A new setting has been added to the Edit Application wizard in Browser-Based Publish called as "Do not autocorrect PDFs for this application".
What does this setting do?
Upon selecting this setting during new application creation or when editing an application, GlobalSubmit (GS) will not automatically correct PDFs in that application.
What kind of corrections are we talking about?
Through selecting this option, GlobalSubmit will not:
Look for broken links and try to remove them
Embed fonts
Make any other changes required by agency guidelines, such as inheriting zoom
Why was this setting added?
The Japan agency has a different approach to handling PDFs, where they prefer to see broken links and understand how they relate to each other. Thus, by selecting this setting, users can ensure that GlobalSubmit does not make any automatic corrections that might affect the relationships between links.
How to turn on this setting?
This setting can be enabled by selecting the checkbox for "Do not autocorrect PDFs for this application" in Browser-Based Publish during one of the below steps:
When creating a new application
(OR)
When editing an existing application
To find the setting in an existing application, follow the below steps:
Search and open the specific application from homepage of Publish
Click on the 'ACTIONS' button on the right top corner
Click on 'Edit Application' to open the editing wizard
Check off "Do not autocorrect PDFs for this application?"
Click on 'Save' below to save your changes
Thus, by selecting this setting, you can ensure that GlobalSubmit does not make any automatic corrections to the PDFs in that specific application.

This setting only applies to the specific application for which it is selected and does not affect other applications or settings within GlobalSubmit.
