The Annotations tab allows you to enter comments about the submission. Annotations are stored separately from the submission files; therefore, they do not alter the submission in any way. You can work with annotations in two ways. In addition to the interface on the Annotations tab, for which you can use the mouse, the Action menu gives you access to the same commands for which you can also use the keyboard.
The Annotations options will be available in the Action menu only if the Annotations tab is selected. If you do not see the Annotations tab, select Annotations from the Go menu.

Private (default setting)
Public
Depending on account permissions, you may not be able to create or view public annotations.
