This is a feature that allows updating of a selected application and its sequence in order to introduce additional metadata that is not included in the eCTD sequence (for example, an internal set of tracking numbers and dates).
Update is mainly used by the US FDA to augment a sponsor’s metadata with its own.
To update an application, click Load at the top of the screen, select the application to be updated and press the Update button.
An Update Started message will appear on the right unless the Redirect to Status option has been selected from the Configuration Page.
Notes:
Because the Update action occurs at the application level, selecting a sequence is not necessary.
Update does not re-load modified sequences.
