Streamlining Sequence Creation: How to Use Repeat Sections in Publish

Chances are that a document contained within a repeat section will need to be amended or replaced during the lifecycle of the application.

Instead of manually creating each repeatable section again, Publish will prepopulate repeat sections based on the existing metadata in the application. To do so, check the Add Existing Repeat Section checkbox when creating a new sequence, as shown below:

The following image is showing the United States region options.

Once the required information has been added to the wizard, the repeatable sections that existed in prior sequences are available in your new sequence as empty sections. For additional details on Repeat Sections, see the “Repeatable Sections and/or Studies” section.

Note: If a specific section is not required for the submission, documents should simply not be added to it. When the output is written, no entries will be added for empty sections.
