Mastering Publish Functionality: Menus, Tabs, and Shortcut Keys for Efficient eCTD Submission Management

Several menus provide access to Publish functionality:

Context Menu

This is the menu you see when you right-click an item. This menu will change based on the right-clicked item.

View Menu

Lists what is visible inside the interface. The Tabs option presents a sub-menu of tabs that are displayed in the Details pane. Below is a brief description of tabs used ONLY within Publish. (The remaining tabs are available in desktop-based Review and Publish and descriptions can be found in the Review documentation: Details, Inventory, Annotations, Search, Print, CrossCheck, and Relationships.)

  • Sections allow you to create sections for Drug Substances, Studies, and other repeatable information.

  • Titles defines file naming conventions for applicable sections to automate leaf title naming

  • Reservations shows reserved sections and allows multiple sections to be released simultaneously.

  • Upload grants visibility into the upload process of any PDFs brought into Publish.

Shortcut Keys Available in Publish:

Common Windows shortcuts are used throughout Publish. Therefore, whenever you see the following, a shortcut is generally available (Ctrl is shorthand for the Control key):
