The Notifications menu, shown in Figure 2.6.1, contains options to configure the behaviour of notification messages (Figure 2.6.2) in the current QSP Designer application. Note that notification messages will only be displayed when the QSP Designer application is active (when it is not an active application, the notification messages are queued and displayed when it becomes active again).

Notification Messages
The ‘Show Notifications’ option toggles the display of notification messages. The presence of a tick mark alongside this option indicates that they will be shown. Notifications are always displayed in the upper right corner of the QSP Designer application’s main window.
Notification Message Examples
Here are examples of each type of notification in QSP Designer:
License Notifications:
Example: "Your license will expire in 7 days. Please renew to continue using QSP Designer."
Example: "License activation successful. You now have access to all features."
Modeling Notifications:
Example: "Model simulation completed successfully."
Example: "Error: Model parameters are out of range. Please review and adjust."
System Notifications:
Example: "System update available. Please restart QSP Designer to apply the update."
Example: "Connection to the license server lost. Attempting to reconnect."
User Actions:
Example: "File imported successfully."
Example: "Settings have been saved."
These notifications help keep users informed about important events and actions within the application, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
Maximum Visible
The 'Maximum Visible' option allows you to set the maximum number of notification messages displayed simultaneously (1-10).

The 'Display Duration' option lets you set how long a notification message is displayed before disappearing (1-10 seconds).

Test Settings
The 'Test Settings' option displays the maximum number of simultaneous notifications for the set duration, providing a visual representation of the configured values. This option is available only when 'Show Notifications' is enabled.
The "Notifications Window" option opens a new window with all notification settings and a log of messages from the current session. This log includes every notification, even those not displayed if 'Show Notifications' is disabled.
