Editing in the Properties Box

In QSP's workspace, the properties box allows you to edit a variety of elements. Here are the main types of elements you can customize:

1. Populations

  • Demographic Characteristics: Define age, gender, and other demographic factors.

  • Genetic Variations: Specify genetic markers or variations relevant to the population.

  • Disease States: Set parameters for different disease conditions within the population.

2. Variables

  • Initial Values: Set the starting values for variables in your model.

  • Equations: Define the mathematical relationships and equations that govern the behavior of the variables.

  • Units: Specify the units of measurement for each variable.

3. Parameters

  • Values and Ranges: Set the numerical values and allowable ranges for parameters.

  • Dependencies: Define how parameters depend on other elements in the model.

  • Units: Assign units to ensure consistency in calculations.

4. Imports

  • Data Mapping: Map imported data to specific model parameters or variables.

  • Source Information: Provide details about the source of the imported data.

5. Local Variables

  • Initial Values: Set initial values specific to local variables within a section of the model.

  • Equations: Define local equations that apply only to specific parts of the model.

  • Units: Assign units to local variables for clarity and consistency.

6. More Locals

  • Additional Local Variables: Similar to the locals tab, but provides extra space for more local variables.

  • Custom Properties: Define additional properties and settings for these local variables.

7. Documentation and Notes

  • Element Descriptions: Add detailed descriptions and notes for each element to document their purpose and usage.

  • Collaboration Notes: Include notes for collaboration, making it easier for team members to understand the model.

By editing these elements in the properties box, you can fine-tune your model to accurately reflect the biological systems and drug interactions you are studying.
