How to Add Sources

Incorporating sources into a project enhances transparency, streamlines reviews, ensures document uniformity, improves quality control, and boosts productivity. Sources can be added via "Drag & Drop" or "Click to Select" files. Creating folders within the Sources Tab helps organize and separate project sources.

Drag and Drop

To utilize the drag and drop feature to quickly add a file, follow these steps:

  1. Log into CoAuthor

  2. Open a Project

  3. Click on the Sources Tab

  4. Drag a file from your desktop or local file, then drop the file into the Sources Workspace

  5. Confirm the desire to upload by clicking the "Upload to {sponsor name}" button.

  6. Once the indicator completes and the file is uploaded, you will see the file(s) listed

  7. The status will be "In Progress" while the file is being uploaded.

    Once the file upload is complete and ready to be used, the status will update to "Completed."

Click to Select

To use the Click to Select feature, please proceed with the following steps:

  1. Log into CoAuthor

  2. Open up a Project

  3. Click on the Sources Tab

  4. Click in the box next to "Upload Source"

  5. Navigate to the file(s) you would like to add to the Sources Tab, then click on the file(s) to select

  6. Click Open

  7. Confirm the desire to upload by clicking the "Upload to {sponsor name}" button.

    Once the indicator completes and the file is uploaded, you will see the file(s) listed

    The status will be "In Progress" while the file is being uploaded.

    Once the file upload is complete and ready to be used, the status will update to "Completed."
